I am a retired doctor who worked in an Audiology Department of a London Hospital for many years, seeing children with hearing problems. I was also Medical Officer to the Blanche Nevile School for children with hearing impairment.

After I retired in 1999 I moved to Devon and began to have hearing difficulties of my own. I started to attend Broom, Reid and Harris in Exeter (now called Audify®) and was fitted with hearing instruments.

In the past few years Mr. Alcock has been taking care of me and during that time the Unit has moved to the new premises at Palatine House.

I have been enormously impressed with Curtis's depth of knowledge, his enthusiasm and the beginnings of important research work that he, and his colleagues, have initiated at Palatine House. Curtis's infinite patience with me, and my companion Dr. Fairer, in trying to obtain the best possible amplification for our circumstances has been very much appreciated.
